Purpose of Ladies Guild
To provide fellowship to all the women of St. Patrick Parish through monthly meetings, Guild sponsored events, fundraisers and activities held throughout the year. With the profits raised through our fundraisers, we provide valued services to the parish, local charities and international families.
We hold two annual fund raising events - our Parish Christmas Cookie Sale in December and our Salad Luncheon & Raffle in August. The proceeds from these events help fund parish improvements and events, both large and small. To name a few, we support St. Patrick's Religious Education Ministry, Confirmation Candidates, equipment and supplies for St. Anthony's Hall, provide desserts for St. Joseph's Table and St. Patrick's Dinner, Impressionist Tea, St. Patrick's sponsored Priests' Luncheon, and a combined effort for a new bench at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
In the community, we donate to Safe Haven Baby Box, Human Concerns, Twin Oaks Family Shelter, Lakeland School, Hope Now, New Beginning, Elkhorn Annual Food and Gifts for our Elkhorn neighbors in need during the holiday season and Spirit of Hope Men's Shelter during their stay at our parish.
Ladies Guild also has a Mission Committee that reaches all the way to Africa with clothing for children, lap blankets for the sick, and we support Father's Good Action Organization.
We host a parish Hospitality Sunday, providing homemade breakfast items, Soup and Stations devotion during Lent and luncheon after the Healing Masses. Close to our hearts, we host our annual May Crowning for Mary.
Our meetings are held on the first Monday of each month in St. Anthony's Hall. We have a business portion, interesting speakers and fun activities. Of course, in our typical Ladies Guild style, treats are always provided to all in attendance.
